Christmas Presents

After seeing an artist at a Christmas fayre I was inspired to try pencil drawing and capturing every single detail.  I experimented with drawing some friends pets for Christmas presents for them and I am very happy with the outcomes, even surprised myself.  It took a lot of patience and perseverance but that is included in all aspects of art.

Christmas Cards 2011

Thought I'd share my Christmas card design that I had sent out this year.  Karl and I moved in together in September, so I thought I'd send one from both of us creating caricatures of us both to entertain our family and friends.

Summer 2011

Have had an exciting summer working getting some pennies but have also been to Rome for a week.  Ended up with about 800 photos from the holiday and i'v edited to get about 600 hmmm.  Will get some of the good ones up on my website soon.

Took a sketchbook aswell as my camera to capture Rome through drawings...

I have just bought and recieved 'The Iron Man' illustrated by Laura Carlin, and 'Illustrated Children's Books' by Black Dog Publishing.

Also recieved 'Indie Publishing: How to design and produce your own book'. edited by Ellen Lupton, from Emma for Christmas, helped me alot in my self promotional book!

Hands That Heal website up and running

Throughout September and October, Lisa the physio at Pocklington rugby club asked me to create the logo and theme for her new business, 'Hands That Heal' a pyhsiotherapy and massage clinic in Pocklington, East Yorkshire.

I created the logo aswell as the business card, door sign, email tag, leaflet and letterhead.  I also created some illustrations for the website (created by Jon Grubb).
